Teacher Training : FlowYoga Certificate in Human Movement and Yogic Exercise Science
This course starts in February each year and runs for 12 months. It provides you with a deeper understanding of the common principles underlying the science of Yoga and other internal arts.
The course covers anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, philosophy, yogic anatomy, meridian theory, and many other eastern and western concepts related to human movement, exercise and health science.
The anatomy and physiology is learnt in a functional, interesting and relevant way, each body part is examined and related to functional movements, postures and exercises and therapeutic applications.
The course is taught in a full multimedia environment; over 300 fully illustrated colour slides are presented on a 2m video projection screen. This makes the learning interesting and enjoyable.
Eastern principles are taught in conjunction with related topics in western medical science, providing a well balanced and grounded approach.

The course is taught by Alex Armstrong B.Sc. (Hons) (Human Movement and Exercise Science). Alex has many years experience teaching anatomy and physiology at the University of Western Australia. He has been teaching Yoga since 1992 and training teachers since 1998.
